Using the Measure and Grid tools

The Proof Tools Panel provides essential tools for reviewing and analysing proofs. It displays the proof’s size (width, height, and DPI) and includes a Measure Tool for checking dimensions and a Grid Tool for alignment. These tools help ensure accuracy and efficiency in proofing.

1. Open the proof and click on the Tools icon in the Proofing toolbar. The Page size area automatically displays the proof’s width, height, and DPI for easy reference.

2. Select your preferred unit of measure for your tools.

3. Enable the measure tool and/or the grid tool based on your proofing needs.

4. To use the measure tool, simply click on the proofing area and drag to your desired size.

5. To use the grid tool, click on the proofing area to add your points.

Measure Tool

Allows users to measure specific areas of the proof, including width, height, diagonal, and area. Simply click on the area you want to measure and drag to your desired width or height.

Grid Tool

Enables a grid overlay to assist with alignment and precise placement. Simply click on the area to add points you wish to measure.
